Receipts

What they said, side by side with what the record shows. Every claim and action is sourced. Where the record isn't yet verified, fwdio.org says so explicitly — we don't fill gaps with guesses.

Prior governmental experience verified
They said
As a Marion County Commissioner, I am already running the fifth-largest county in Oregon.
The record shows

Self-reported in the official voters' pamphlet: Occupation listed as Marion County Commissioner; Occupational Background as Keizer Chamber of Commerce CEO and co-owner of Bethell Plumbing; Prior Governmental Experience as Salem/Keizer School Board and County Commissioner.

Note:Office and background self-reported in the official pamphlet. Marion County is not in fwdio.org's Multnomah-scoped vote-record integration, so Bethell's specific commission votes are not yet surfaced — a candidate-website and county-record pull is a future task.

Endorsements & scorecards

Each lens labeled as that organization's position — not fwdio.org's. Find the lens you already trust; see the others alongside it.

No third-party scorecards loaded yet for this candidate. fwdio.org is building toward a cross-spectrum grid (labor, business, environment, civil liberties, gun rights, reproductive rights, tax/fiscal, housing) so every visitor can find a lens they already trust. v1.1 surfaces what's in the official pamphlets; v1.2 pulls in structured scorecards from third-party organizations.

Official pamphlet statement(verbatim from the official voters' pamphlet)

Are you inspired with the kind of Republican nominee we've had for Governor in the past? For years, our party has nominated legislators — people who know how to debate policy, but have never run a government or delivered a service. Oregon doesn't need another insider, we need someone who has actually been responsible for making government work for the people. As a Marion County Commissioner, I am already running the fifth-largest county in Oregon. Every day I oversee budgets, public safety, land use, behavioral health systems, and programs communities depend on. That's the difference between a legislator and an executive: legislators write laws; executives deliver results. Oregonians are frustrated and rightfully so. We are struggling with affordability, businesses are weighed down by regulation, and our systems continue to fail those who need help most. Too many decisions in Salem are driven by urban priorities, leaving the rest of our state behind. I'm running for Governor because Oregon needs bold leadership that focuses less on politics and more on outcomes. I believe in limited government that delivers, focused on core responsibilities like public safety, strong infrastructure, education, healthy communities, and a thriving economy.
