Receipts

What they said, side by side with what the record shows. Every claim and action is sourced. Where the record isn't yet verified, fwdio.org says so explicitly — we don't fill gaps with guesses.

Metro / Oregon Zoo experience verified
They said
I am privileged and fortunate to work for Metro and the Oregon Zoo for the past 26 years.
The record shows

Self-reported in the official Multnomah County voters' pamphlet: Oregon Zoo Animal Keeper and Life Support Operator since 2000 (26 years); Mystic Aquarium Aquarist 1993-2000.

Note:Self-attestation in own pamphlet bio. The candidate explicitly states 'Prior Governmental Experience: None' — fwdio.org displays that honestly rather than dressing it up.

Campaign finance

Where the money comes from. Right now fwdio.org links you to the canonical ORESTAR filings on the Oregon Secretary of State's system — the same place anyone, including journalists and opponents, can audit. v1.4 will ingest contribution totals and top contributors inline.

Endorsements & scorecards

Each lens labeled as that organization's position — not fwdio.org's. Find the lens you already trust; see the others alongside it.

No third-party scorecards loaded yet for this candidate. fwdio.org is building toward a cross-spectrum grid (labor, business, environment, civil liberties, gun rights, reproductive rights, tax/fiscal, housing) so every visitor can find a lens they already trust. v1.1 surfaces what's in the official pamphlets; v1.2 pulls in structured scorecards from third-party organizations.

Official pamphlet statement(verbatim from the official voters' pamphlet)

What will be your legacy? I am privileged and fortunate to work for Metro and the Oregon Zoo for the past 26 years. I especially appreciate Metro's work to restore habitat in our region. I believe that habitat restoration is the key to being successful in our conservation efforts. Supporting natural biodiversity is critical to building a more livable community. With the exception of invasives, removal of mature trees, comes at a cost, and at every opportunity we should be planting natives in every open space on Metro property. Everyday, I am hopeful to live the mission of the Oregon Zoo and to exceed it. Everyday, I am hopeful to provide animal welfare that exceeds the highest standards while fostering a meaningful connection between zoo visitors and the animals. If I have not created behavior change that benefits the wild relatives of the animals I care for, then I have failed. I have a good idea of the legacy I want for Metro and the Oregon Zoo. What will be your Metro/Oregon Zoo legacy? Occupation: Oregon Zoo — Marine Life Keeper. Occupational Background: Oregon Zoo Animal Keeper and Life Support Operator since 2000 (26 years); Mystic Aquarium Aquarist 1993-2000. Educational Background: Old Dominion University, BS Biology 1991. Prior Governmental Experience: None.
